Isn't it fucking fantastic going to games again now
Really enjoyed yesterday's game - despite poor officiating again - and I thought that a draw was a fair result in the end.

Got to be content with getting a point when we were 0-2 down and they were carving our defence up time and time again.

We've got so much bottle in our team now - never seen so much character in our side. We've had individuals with plenty of fight e.g. DICKSY or BONZO but they were often let-down by timid team-mates.

Really proud of our team and manager - a few more quality additions and we can kick-on even further next season.

Very exciting times.

I don't think I entered the stadium under Bilic without feeling the need to drink a minimum of 8 pints first, so it's definitely been nice in the games I've attended to go along smiling and expectant of great football and entertainment prior to beer.

Don't get me wrong, I still drink as much as possible beforehand, but it's now not needed.

Bilic was right in saying that were it not for refereeing decisions, we should be fighting it out for 3rd. I reckon possibly even better than that

Ref Review week 33. Theyve given two more incorrect decisions to us, leaving us bottom of the table at -11 versus the next team at -6.

Great post

Realisation for me was walking into Old Trafford thinking i'd be gutted with anything less than a draw minimum

Everything about the club is positive at the moment. And even when Bilic gets it wrong like the first half saturday he has the brains and bottle to realise that and change it round

Spot on Dicksie

I haven't enjoyed going to football for a few years and wasn't expecting to get my love back so quickly.

When you look at how chuffed Pulis was at hitting 40 points and all Fatty could talk about was clean sheets it made me realise how lucky we are not to have that sort of manager.

A goal difference of plus 12 after years of finishing on a negative.

The spirit in the team, the atmosphere getting back to it's rocking best.

There is nothing to be down about at the moment. Unbeaten at home since August, I couldn't have dreamt of a better farewell season.

I have to say that going into games expecting to get something still makes me feel wonderfully uneasy

If you allow for the poor ref decisions since the Everton game and the fact we haven't had a penalty this season we could be right up there. Yes it is fantastic going to games even though it feels like you are playing 14 men.

Just said this in a group email, I look forward to Saturday's again and some of the football we have played this season makes up for watching McQueen, McKnight,Hilton and the likes for years and years. I'm a bit gutted though as turn around all those decisions and perhaps us on top,and not Leicester!

Re: Isn't it fucking fantastic going to games again now
I was watching one of those soapy Arsenal TV interviews today and that bloke grabbed someone with a 'Wenger out' banner to interview.

He was saying that yesterday's game summed their season up and Wenger was too old and predictable, they needed new blood and to spend some money.

That interviewer said the magic 'yeah, but be careful what you wish for- what if we get a new manager and get relegated under him?'

The bloke with the banner said 'we won't get relegated. What have we got to lose? West Ham are the perfect example of changing a shit manager who gives you a limited amount of success for someone else and look at the football they're playing'.

It's almost weird to see Arsenal fans holding our team up as a model.

Maybe we shouldn't have too much of the hump about the result yesterday. Arsenal have rarely had so much to lose playing us as we were seen as a must-win game to keep them in the title race. It wasn't as if we played them having an off day. We just matched them in skill and endeavour. For Bilic to have instilled that in less than a season is nothing short of a miracle.

Best it's been imo in the 50 yrs of supporting and the timing (move to new place) is great.

Last season feels a very long time ago in terms of both our results and style of play.

I thought yesterday's game was fucking superb... always said I'd rather us play in a rip roaring game and get a draw or sometimes even a loss than a fuck awful boring defensive 0-0 1-0 cunt of a game... brilliant way to leave the old place.

Re: Isn't it fucking fantastic going to games again now
I'm annoyed with the result yesterday as well.

I like turning up thinking we have a good chance of winning every match. The old West Ham would have crumbled yesterday but the new West Ham turned it around brilliantly.

We deserved to win, and we only didn't because of poor officiating again. Had we had anything like the rub of the green in the last month we'd already be in the cup semi final and sitting on 58 points.

Re: Isn't it fucking fantastic going to games again now
The football we played in parts yesterday was unreal, it's the best I can remember in my 29 years of attending games.

For me there are no real players that I fear wearing the shirt, pretty much all offer something.

Make no mistake that was a very decent Arsenal side yesterday, over 90 mins we looked like equals.

A few real quality editions and we will continue our strides forward.

Re: Isn't it fucking fantastic going to games again now
Thing is we've had our 'moments' over the years.

In my time there's been the 85-86 team, the 'arry PDC highlights and the cup final season under Pardew. I guess going back a bit we could probably say the 80-81 side was pretty decent too.

That's the thing though they have all been fairly brief moments. I might be getting ahead of myself as we are only in the first season under Bilic, although this feels much more permanent and that we are turning the corner for a good few years of relative success while escalating the while club up to a new level.

Fucking loving it.

Yeah, this is definitely the best period I've had supporting the club in 25 years of going to games - even more so that the late-90s/early-00s under Saggy Chops.
